Better archive this one boys because I have a feeling this stuff will age like fine wine that Henry the VII had in his private reserve.

Even if Russia attacks NATO, umm…what will Putin get out of it? He’s already preoccupied in Ukraine. He had to recall contingents of Russian mercenaries from Africa to fight in Ukraine. He has trouble keeping his vassal states from fighting each other because there are no Russian troops to keep them in line. His economy is starting to shake. The war is unpopular among Russians even if they don’t admit it openly. And of course, the mobilisation is a very delicate topic that will instantly turn any pro- or Putin tolerant Russians into vehemently anti-Putin ones. Needless to say, he will be stretching Russian resources and patience in vain attempt to stoke his ego.

Attacking NATO directly will accelerate Russian decline even further. So, even though I get that we should be prepared for any possibilities, it’s way stupider of Putin to even seriously consider attacking NATO.

It would be a big issue for EU. It’s economy is on the verge of recession and attack on any member would most likely cause EU wide disruptions and economic slowdown. Russia is very dependent on China now so the questions is: what would China get out of economic troubles in EU? And the answer is “a lot”.

An answer could be something like this: Putin’s Russia was never about Russia but about Putin. Putin’s re-election (though manufactured) is this year already. Because of his loses- which he doenst acknowledge- he needs a new pretext for a mass mobilisation. The RT propaganda machine have been prepping the masses to consider NATO the mortal enemy. Also, since the Iran war (US airdefense) ammo is historically low, and Europe’s defence potential has not reached it’s peak yet.

He forgot to say which year of territory boundaries he meant. Can Trump remember the time after 1989 and does Putin want to remember it too?

Return on investment. Russia hasn’t switched to war economy for nothing. War economy is unsustainable unless you invade and pillage rich countries, and Ukraine isn’t one
