Two Turks were arrested in Germany for burning one in September. We know it’s not “someone” but different people hired to do it. People who think it’s some activists protesting Musk are dum-dums.

We have bigfoots over here in the US depending on the time of year, do you have them over there? Maybe it is a network of bigfoot cryptids hiding in the woods and disabling them so starlink can’t find them!

Elon Musk is just trying to be a hero and prove bigfoots exist with Starlink, everybody knows that so I think this is the logical conclusion.

edit for all you sheep, just ask Grok, Bigfoots are known to travel at speeds over 110kmph which is why Elon is a genius for blocking their access to Starlink in a targeted way in Ukraine to limit their ability to disrupt Ukraine with bigfoot mindtunnel jumps (BMJs).

/s of course, fuck Trump, fuck Musk

I saw a meme the other day that pointed out that Bigfoot sighting territory, and black bear territory overlaps almost perfectly. The major outliers being stadiums hosting monster truck rallies.

…and really what is such a big difference between black bears and this perception as highly intelligent furry large creatures that live mostly solitary lives in the forest avoiding people? Can’t we just see black bears as mysterious and cool even as we claim to know them well enough to label them within the realm of the everyday?

What if his intertwining with the government was a deliberate move so that actions like this and against his companies are acts of terrorism against the US.

Well, look at the bright side: its a perfect excuse to replace all that broken infrastructure with a sovereign, European alternative.

As with many folks on Starlink, they didn’t have much of a choice. ATM, there’s nothing comparable in orbit and landlines are vulnerable on a battefield.

It is weird. It’s also the current situation and damage to starlink hurts Ukraine, no matter how strange and messed up it is

That private company also massively depends on government contracts and subsidies. They wouldn’t dare pull this kind of shit if it wasn’t approved or even initiated by their government. I do agree that this is not the kind of operation that should be in the hands of a private company, but I don’t think it would change anything in the current situation.

Let me say this, whoever it turns out to be unless they are clearly ideologically rightwing extremists I am only going to focus on their character and beliefs while asking ZERO questions about who it was that dangled the money to do it in front of their eyes… because that is something that must be buried in the coverage of these acts. Do you think any of these people did these sabotage acts for free because they thought it was the right thing to do?

No, “somebody” paid them and they realized they could not think about the broader context/ethics of their choices with the cash in hand, a selfish choice but ultimately a meaningless one when viewed at the systematic level of who the “someone” driving this system actually is.

Wait does this mean in a way russia is MORE capitalist than Ukraine? I am so confused now.

I know you assume is Russia but after the last stand Starlink, sorry Starshield pulled probably 30%-40% of the people are happy to see them burn.

30%-40% of the people are happy to see them burn.

And why are those people so happy to watch their freedom burn? Who convinced them with stories that gathering around and feeding the bonfire of their futures is a joyful act?

Musk and starlink aren’t for your freedom.

Russia likes being able to sway Musk. Most right wingers are aligned with Musk. It could be somebody with a beef with Musk (this does still include several factions of right wingers). No notable left group that I know of would use this methodology (they don’t typically pay randoms like that, especially not across borders). I’m mostly leaning to some fringe far right group.

What drives my leftwing beliefs is a desire for democracy in all its forms, centralizing power like this is so obviously an unnecessary way to undermine all of that.

I’m starting to think that maybe Elon DIDN’T turn off Ukraine’s access the other day and merely said he did, in the same way the Russians say “the Ukrainians didn’t blow up that depot; a soldier was smoking and accidentally started a fire”.
