Nixon used the southern strategy to make an appeal to racists to restore The Good Ole’ Boy Network which is how people in power or aspire to be in power think the world is supposed to work. He got elected and could then start “fixing” “things.” His impeachment and
removalstepping down was a very public example of someone not in the good ole’ boy system disrupted the power structure. Inevitably people bought their way into that system and his removal wiped out the “investments” they made. There’s probably some feeling that the Deep State stole their money, and they want reprecussions for the theft.

Fine, “delegitimize” the prosecutors and “clear” Nixon (he was never actually prosecuted due to Ford’s pardon). We’ll expand the supreme court, who will rule that because he was “cleared”, the pardon is null and void. Further, they’ll rule that because he was never prosecuted, double jeopardy doesn’t apply.
Then we can appoint a special prosecutor and convene a new grand jury to go after him and all the co-conspirators new and old for real this time. Dig up that rotten corpse and we’ll make the trial of Richard Nixon part of Reconstruction 2.0.
