On Linux there is Falkon. Windows too. (QT WebKit) And the reason I won’t use this will likely be the same as Falkon. Missing plugins etc. Other than that they are fine. Bitwarden has a desktop app. (Electron? Dunno but it would be ironic) But no auto fill ability. Darkreader? Nope. There may be some limited adblocking, but no greasemonkey type functionality.

  • Well, those donating time and resources often get extra consideration. But Ton has been fiercely independent for decades. And even though he’s stepped down from his leadership role. I think the board he helped put in place has things in good hands. They, KDE etc have forged their own path and shown the viability of their models. They’d be fools to abandon that or relinquish control after 30 years.

Tons have come and gone with little fan fair. Blender OTOH has quietly made inroads into industry and the hearts of many many people. I have used blender since the mid 90s. Where it is today compared to back then is unimaginable. I can’t wait to have my mind blown by where they go in the future. Nodes and simulation are really shaping up. Who knows, between them and the love the NLE editor has been getting. Adobe, Houdini, and even Nuke might get some competition.

That’s great. Most don’t. Plenty of us remember the hateful dogpiling of privileged bluestaters. Anytime someone begged others to just vote. Not for a specific candidate, but just to vote against the Republicans. Yes It didn’t matter if you voted because your state was already going that way. But that wasn’t the case for most other states.

Or when others begged people to vote strategically for candidates that stood a chance of beating the Republicans. Yes, it didn’t matter if you did or didn’t because your state was already going that way. Good for you. That wasn’t the case for most people. The fact that so many loud obnoxious oblivious blue-staters managed to convince Palestinians in swing states to vote for Trump. Chefs kiss, hilarious. With allies like that who needs enemies.

  • Oof you got played hard. Not only did Clinton not do anything criminally chargeable. The DNC could have legitimately told Sanders to go pound sand and not allowed him to be a candidate. And there would have been no crime. The parties can and do set their own BS rules in their primaries.

Republicans attack on public education for the last half century payed off big in people like yourself. You still don’t realize what a fool they made of you and how much they laugh at and ridicule people like yourself behind your back. Yet you still feel more animosity to rudderless corporate Democrats than the people who used you.

To be clear all national and state level parties need to be wiped out. Democrat, Republican, etc etc. They have too much power and are too insulated to represent anyone but themselves. Change doesn’t come from the top down. If it wasn’t for ranks of sycophantic sociopath’s being cultivated for decades, and installed in offices nation wide. Trump would be a sundowning lame duck clown. As he should be. Instead, millions of ignorant Americans were duped into voting for the worst possible stewards of their interests.
