I wasn’t sure what to expect when Appy finally released their first folding phone, but naming it after the Microsoft Surface Duo folding phone was not on my list at all.
Apple likes to recycle their brand names. AppleVision was a display long before it was used s the headset branding. I’ll be interested to see if the Apple folding phone is a flop. I would much rather have seen the Duo name saved for something more innovative. 🤷♂️
It’s a shame that Microsoft gave up on Windows phone. It was a good product around version 7 and 8. Slapping android on a device and giving it Microsoft branding was just utterly embarrassing though. Still, I expect nothing less from their current lack of vision or leadership.

Though exists in a completely different product category.
