Decentralizing energy is the best defense. Solar panels belong on roofs and parking lots. Backup batteries belong in neighborhoods. That way when the power plant is down or the lines are cut off, there’s still local power available.

More of a humiliation for the UK.

Renewables with battery storage can cover the same amount of power generation at a fraction of the cost.
“Although the full makeup of Alsym’s battery is still under wraps as the company waits to be granted patents, one of Alsym’s electrodes is made mostly of manganese oxide while the other is primarily made of a metal oxide. The electrolyte is primarily water.”
TLDR: they would have to pay to replace natural gas related equipment in their bakeries.
That suspiciously looks like something you could ship as a web app.
Just keep pulling this nonsense and people will hog all that low cost electricity for themselves. Why should I pay utilities to take it when backup battery prices are getting cheaper?
GEOS was amazing.
These articles always ignore the expense involved with building, running, and maintaining a nuclear power plant.
I’d like to see a cost comparison. I’m guessing all that battery storage cost less than the price of a nuclear reactor over its lifetime.
Lol. They’ll just recommend crap Amazon is trying to get rid of, or cheap knock off Chinese junk that has paid a promo fee to get shoved to the top of the list.
Looks like an Apple II color display.
