Idk, EU may be safer but the possibility of a young woman getting violently raped is high no?

And now you’ve bounced from racism to young women getting raped. Do you often use deflection when you’re called out for making bad arguments?

Well the stats I was shown from a gun safety class like 10 years ago showed that Europe was going through a violent rape crisis. The instructor said how USA doesn’t have this issue because more and more women carry guns (majority students were women at the class) All this I learned in gun safety, I think people should take gun safety class so that their eyes are opened to how unprotected we are against threats

Next time you should open with this so people will understand exactly the kind of brainpower and information that you’re working with in the first place.

This is such a ridiculous thing to admit, that your entire belief that Europe has a lot of rape while the US doesn’t just because some guy teaching a fucking gun safety class said that guns stop rape.

150% increase in rape reports over the past decade is terrifying! So I’m sure my instructor wasn’t lying 10 yrs ago when it’s only gotten worse since then!

Yes he was, and he taught you how to practice confirmation bias and how not to critically think.

You’re asking fucking Gemini to make up an argument for you now. Notice how you’re not even asking it for how it compares to US figures or how many sexual assault cases are not reported in both regions, and if that discrepancy lines up or can be attributed to gun ownership rates.

The statistics don’t lie even if it’s AI. USA rapes have declined dramatically over the past 10 years. Hmmm I wonder why?

The AI lies, especially Gemini which is frequently wrong about what its sources say.

It’s also a lie to say that those USA stats exist (you notably didn’t ask the unreliable AI about them) and that it’s all due to the presence of guns.

Remember, you’re claiming that the US has no rape due to all the guns. There is zero statistics that will back up such a claim. Your only source is some gun safety instructor from ten years ago who definitely did not prove any such statistics either.

No more arguing, we need to come together as a community, my post trying to unite:

Community, this morning I see a lot of Anti-gun and Anti-stand your ground sentiment. I think it’s unfair to bring what this woman did with her gun to the conversation. We should feel more empathy for her situation in that moment. She felt threatened and she dealt with that issue the way she was trained.

As a Fuck Cars community we need to focus on this situation as an example of how the car creates animosity between people. If both individuals arrived there in a different form of transportation, they may have not crossed paths like this. However, because it was in a car it created friction. I experience this friction in my day to day life and that’s why I hate cars. Please let’s focus on that as a community, let’s focus on how the automobile divides us, makes us angry, tears apart our community. That’s the point of this post, IMHO.

Thank you, and I’m sorry for arguing all morning. Good day.
