Destroying the postal service is a conservative goal. UPS, FedEx, and Amazon don’t want there to be a semi-public alternative that anyone can use.

While that may be true it shouldn’t stop us from constructing redundant systems where possible. Best case scenario it’s used for state thing only internal documents, mail out things, literal food stamps if needed better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. Also worst case scenario you revoke the business licenses of those listed, because fuckem.

I have a socialist idea that there should only be one last mile delivery service, and all deliveries that aren’t urgent are required to use it. as your benevolent dictator, I’ll ensure that only practical, fullly electric vehicles are used for urban and suburban delivery. the competition can take place for the intracity delivery, FedEx, ups, etc can drop all mail under 10 pounds off at the post office for a local delivery area and the post office will take it from there.
