NATO is a defense pact. If the US claims and invades Greenland, that’s an attack that will trigger the defense clauses in NATO.
The US is big, but I don’t see them winning a conflict between all of Europe, Canada AND the other usual suspects who would happily jump at the opportunity, like China and Iran.
Yes the US is huge and heavily armed, but leadership is incompetent. We are like bigger Russia. I am certain that remaining NATO countries could successfully defend Greenland. Still, many will die and things will be destroyed no matter what. Invading Greenland would not only be incredibly stupid, but it would serve as proof positive that the US has to be taken out. Sanctioned and kept out of world trade and isolated like we do to the commies.
