Many Chinese EV brands offer EVs under 10K USD to about 12K USD. They make EVs affordable for everyone and usually keep politics out of their brand.
It’s nice, actually.
Err… no to destroy anyone’s dream, but these EV exist only because of politics: the country has heavily subsidized the EV sector, at national level, provincial level and ciy level. It was considered stmategic and they poured as much money on it as they could.
10–12k USD EV are the result of politics!
i think you are confusing governance and politics. governance is the act of making laws to do things. politics is the shitshow of having to be polite between entities in order to get governance enacted. it seems china has fewer politics that get in the way of governance.
think of two parents who say the child must go to bed at 8pm and the other at 9pm and until they settle their differences there is no bedtime set.
The Chinese keeping politics out of their brands? The CCP subsidizes their EV industry and the Ministry of State Security stole the technology to develop the vehicles.
They are also the only ones working on Sodium Ion Battery cars somehow. Other companies from france, the US and some European countries do some research but thats mostly it.
