    They don’t really want it. As always they want the benefits but don’t want to participate financially and socially.

      Brexit vote was 52% for leave. Intelligence is a bell curve…

      Anyone with any sense knew leaving a free trade agreement with our biggest trading partners, and the ability to influence the rules on that trade and standards, was a fucking stupid idea. Unfortunately it’s easy to prey on stupid people.

      Also, I’d argue that the UK and French/German culture and values are generally a lot closer than the rest of the wider world - we’re neighbours and have a lot of shared language and history.
