During the General Political Debate, PVV leader Geert Wilders again focused heavily on migration, advocating measures that critics say could conflict with fundamental rights and international agreements. “As far as the PVV is concerned, playtime is now over,” he said. Among his proposals was the creation of a powerful enforcement agency similar to the controversial U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). His party also once again called for the Netherlands to leave the EU.
Maybe they can start by deporting Wilders. Might be hard to find a country willing to take him though.
In fact, Wilders’ own election manifesto calls for his deportation: it urges the ethnic cleansing of those with a non-western migration background. This includes Wilders, whose mother was from Indonesia.
It’s weird how common this is. Like in the US the biggest boosters of ICE aren’t like sons of the American Revolution. It’s people whose position in society is more tenuous. Maybe children of immigrants, people who aren’t viewed as fully American. I feel like a psychologist might be able to explain this but it makes no sense to me.
The leader of the German far right is a lesbian whose wife is from Pakistan
She’s from Sri Lanka. So the (co-)leader of the German far right is an open lesbian, married to a foreigner, they live in a foreign country (Switzerland) and have two kids. Before her career with the Nazi party she was active in her local lgbtq community.
And this person is anti-immigration, german-only, and advocating traditional families and values.
She’s a useful idiot.
You already explained it yourself. It’s about perceived competition.
