The U.S. Justice Department failed to secure felony convictions against most of the 102 protesters arrested in four major cities last year on charges of assaulting federal authorities — a record far below the norm in federal assault prosecutions.
All of the dozen cases that made it to trial, mostly in Los Angeles, ended in acquittal, mistrial or dismissal. Experts say that’s surprising for a department known for its ability to win at trial. The last three felony assault cases, in LA and Portland, will go to trial this fall.

The UK, the birthplace of modern juries, just cancelled them for everything that isn’t expected to lead to more than 3 years in prison, and instead is decided by magistrates their famously cuntish and aristocratic legal community chooses. Labour did that. Conservatives did it for 1 year or less expected in 2020.
They used the reagan/thatcher method, they underfunded and sabotaged the courts so they fell behind, then decried the backlog they created as an excuse to cancel the Magna Carta. And I seem to care more than they do over there go figure.
As someone descended from Norman men who took part in the Harrying of the North can I do as my ancestors did and slaughter Saxon and Angle nobles once more. Sure you’ll get crimes against humanity that only a Californian would think are acceptable, but it’d solve the aristocracy issue well enough.
Oh Idk about the crimes against humanity part, large swaths of the population are coming around to the wisdom of such an action.
Pretty sure degloving someone’s limbs and forcing them to eat their own flesh is still a crime against humanity or at least it should be once done at scale. Same thing with me wanting to roll them in salt afterwards because my sadism merged with my righteous fury and I cannot seperate them anymore.
