The minimum information about the BSW while it would be the most relevant. After being treated badly by all other parties, e.g. no recount in the federal election to verify their narrow 5% miss, the other parties rely on them to form a government. Do they support it or will there be new elections?

Also no word about the narrowness of a potential disaster. Without the 5% for the BSW, the AfD was only lacking one seat for a majority. There was the risk of one CDU member changing sides to make an AfD government possible.

That election recount was decided by a court, not “other parties”, and the BSW leadership is openly advocating for cooperation with the AfD, so your argument about them preventing an AfD government holds little water.

Wow, I didn’t realize the bundestag’s election committee is a ‘court’ now. I naively assumed it was just other parties MPs protecting their seats.

BSW made a formal mistake. The other parties still could have ordered a recount.

BSW says no coalition but I think a government with BSW would be more social than a AfD government with one switching CDU member. Now they need 3.

A minority AfD government that sometimes depends on 3 CDU members and sometimes 3 BSW members can pretty much do what it wants because those two parties have different red lines and can be played against each other.

Sorry, I didn’t mean constantly switching but a member or three who change sides permanently. If the CDU is serious about the firewall then they will exclude the ones who vote for AfD topics.

Not every vote is public and kicking someone out of the party against their will takes time and doesn’t make them lose their seat in the parliment.
