RedHat has been so obnoxious I moved from Fedora to Debian.
I’ve seen a lot of tech bro “Shove our crap into everything and make sure it is too hard to not use it so we become the new Microslop” kinda crap coming out of them to want anything to do with it.
Wait, they are? I thought they were so intertwined that you couldn’t separate them (from a software aspect). Pretend I said this with much more tech jargon.
Red Hat sponsors Fedora’s development and use it as an upstream source for RHEL. They also own the trademark for Fedora’s branding.
However, the project is run by elected leadership and all development is largely done by volunteers (some of which work for Red Hat). It’s not a “corporate distro” like people believe. It’s somewhere between Ubuntu and Debian.

Red Hat I get, but why Fedora? Other than getting some of its funding and open source code from RHEL, it’s largely unrelated projects.
