    Wait, they are? I thought they were so intertwined that you couldn’t separate them (from a software aspect). Pretend I said this with much more tech jargon.

      Red Hat sponsors Fedora’s development and use it as an upstream source for RHEL. They also own the trademark for Fedora’s branding.

      However, the project is run by elected leadership and all development is largely done by volunteers (some of which work for Red Hat). It’s not a “corporate distro” like people believe. It’s somewhere between Ubuntu and Debian.
