    BSD would be the likely one to look into first… because I have heard of it. I have also heard of solaris, but never had a clue what it was.

    All I want is an os I can trust, that is logical, works, and stays out of my way. I already have that, or at least did until these aiholes came along.

      I am pretty sure that is the enterprise OS owned by Oracle. It is closed source.

      NetBSD or openBSD is your best bet. You will have to install the desktop environment yourself though, unless you like their cwm. FreeBSD is the most popular BSD, but they are using AI to find security vulnerabilities.
