Cancel massive renewable energy projects slated to bring in GW of new generation after billions have already been spent

Start a war with Iran, making non renewables significantly more expensive to run

Block data center regulations, allowing for massive spikes in electricity utilization and no requirement to generate their own power

“Foreign actors are trying to cripple our power infrastructure”

Ooooh nice I guess we’re ramping up for the “election threats”

What are the polymarket odds on this essentially being an inside job - either direct, or “oops we left the creds on an open S3 bucket, our bad”?

Guess which kind of energy requires the equipment targeted by this order? If you’re guessing fossil fuels, you’re guessing wrong.

What are you trying to convey? This order has nothing to do with power generation, so fuel source is irrelevant. This appears to be related to power transmission facilities.

The renewables industry is the one most in need of the equipment being put under strict controls. Oil, coal, and gas - you know, fossil fuels - are getting exemptions so they can keep getting their equipment. This is part for the course with this administration. Their playbook is giving favours to their fossil-fuel buddies and attacking renewable energy projects and providers, while cloaking the whole thing in bullshit about “national security”. If this asshole gave a fly’s scrotum about national security he wouldn’t have gutted and then shut down the committees responsible for securing these systems in the first place.

In short, I am trying to convey that this has nothing to do with security and everything to do with looking renewable power in the US. I hope that clears it up.

Did you read the order? It has nothing to do with power generation. The power source is not relevant to the order. This is for equipment that handles the transmission of power and how our grids coordinate with each other. Nothing to do with renewable energy.

I do blame the numb nuts for this problem, but that is because he gutted the workforce responsible for cybersecurity, but not because of his stupid policies against renewable energy sources.
