Unless you have some shit ass traitor developers creating the drivers, I don’t see how this is a worry in an open source OS where you can remove any added junk anyway.

Linux won’t save you from smart monitors. It’ll be like every OS suddenly gets Windows Recall, except LG and Samsung have the database, not you.
Just don’t directly connect the monitor to the network (like a smart tv) and Linux absolutely will seve you from it.
Linux absolutely will save you from this, unless you think somehow windows detecting an LG monitor and installing spyware is going to happen on Linux?
