Jared Kushner continues to serve as an outside adviser to the president.

Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law, met privately in recent weeks, according to two people familiar with the meeting.

Jeffries and Kushner discussed an array of topics, including possible areas of common ground, the sources said. Although Kushner does not have an official role in the current administration, he has remained deeply involved, especially on issues related to foreign policy, and continues to serve as an outside adviser to the president.

The timing of the talks is striking. The midterms are less than 75 days away and Republicans are facing headwinds in recent polls. Democrats feel cautiously optimistic about their chances of taking the House and Jeffries would be in line to be the next speaker.

    By corporations. Sure some of them are run by Epsteins clients, but the underlying problem is broader and structural, not moral.

      “The Epstein Class” intentionally incorporates those that were Epstein’s clients and those who are merely wealthy enough to be, but may not have been. This is good for several reasons, including the tying of the moral to the structural (as symptom, not cause) and creating pressure and division within that class. It does not suggest a lack of structural failure.
      It is correct to call them the Epstein class.

        The whole school of corruption needs highlighting. E.g. 2bn of crypto corruption has nothing to do with Epstein, but shouldn’t be overlooked.

          We’re using “Eptein class” as a catch all synonym to the oligarch class or really the capitalist class. It avoids reactions to the word capitalist among normies who still consider themselves capitalists. People tend to “just get it.” I think it’s a good slogan for agitprop.
