This is exactly what happened after the Bondi shooting that targeted a Hannukah festival last year. Conservative media and politicians (and even fucking Netanyahu himself) went absolutely feral blaming the government despite the fact that ASIO stopped monitoring the shooters in 2019 under the previous government, and that one of the shooters was born in Australia, with the other (his father) having migrated here about 30 years under the conservative Howard government.

Earlier in 2025 our government recognised the state of Palestine. Ever since the shooting the Epstein class has been astroturfing the far right here and doing their damnedest to destroy the government. I don’t believe that’s a coincidence.
