To be fair, you too can own a house if you’re willing to settle for what the average house in Russia is like. In-fact you can often get the house for free and only have to pay for the plot.

Makes a lot of sense. The more “prosperous” countries aren’t really prosperous for most people.
How many of those owned homes don’t even have a toilet?
How many of those homeowners have alcoholic liver disease?
What other eastern european stereotypes/social ills should we call out here?
I think the numbers used to be higher, but they get shipped off to die in Ukraine before the liver disease kicks in.
