For decades allies could pretend it was a friendship. However the level of toxicity has been exposed so thoroughly under Trump that we can’t go back. We cannot be bullied and held back by the US for their sole gain any longer.

The absolute best the US should ever expect going forward is a zero trust transaction.

He says this while the US begins to actively fund and create fascist organizations to destroy the EU. The US is a disease on the continent.

“offered a tone seen as softer and more reassuring”? - the message was still the same. Read between the lines and the threats are still there. And as long as the current US government is actively interfering in other countries elections, founding extremist right wing organisations, letting their billionaire tech bros influence people by spreading lies and hate and telling other countries how and with whom to do business we are very far from putting any trust into their words. Their deeds do the talking.

In a way I’m glad that at first the words matched the deeds even though they’re backpedalling now. Many people needed to hear those words to understand what it’s really like.

Genocide now by children of victims of genocide in the '40s kinda suggests people will forget. If those people have such a thirst for mass killing, the rest of us haven’t a chance.

They have a hell of a lot of revitalizing to do. A formal excuse to Denmark and Greenland would be a good start.

    We’ll wait.

I’d rather the people apologize after making an example of the billionaires and politicians that got us into this shit-show
