After a few weeks of staring into the abyss (a la the grim reality of what climate change will do) it finally stared back. A huge nothingness, completely powerless to affect it, no choice left but to submit to it, and let it wash over you.

It took a part of me. But I’ve taken a part of it too. My personal fear, anger, sadness, all such small things when compared to the end of the world as we know it today. To truly believe this, kind of reminds me how it felt when I was on SSRI’s in a weird way. I’m not surprised that so many people aren’t here yet. It’s legitimately terrifying.

For me though, losing all hope really was freedom.

Going vegan can give you some feeling of power back, easiest change you can make for the greatest reduction of your own impact. Not to mention the lives you save.

Oddly enough I’m like 80% there. I meal prep lunches of rice and refried beans with chopped veggies, breakfast is oatmeal, sometimes I’ll have chicken for dinner tho.

There is some comfort knowing I’m at least not personally making things worse.
