The other day, I saw the first Waymo van in Sacramento.

If I saw the Waymo van, then it saw me, and Waymo infamously shares all its scanning data with law enforcement.

I wasn’t doing anything illegal, but that doesn’t really matter in the states. Crime here is not about what you did, but who you are. And it’s becoming also about what you think.
