That was in Northern Ireland, and is not the UK Government’s fault. That was waged and caused by the Provisional Irish Republican Army / Sinn Féin. The British Army actually stopped the troubles from becoming a full-on civil war. We owe a lot to them.
I assume that means it’s got some bomb proofing structural stuff.
