Kristol is, but Carville, the person being quoted, was Clinton’s main campaign strategist (both Bill and Hillary) and has been a consultant for a very large amount of centrist democrat campaigns on all levels. He has always been a Democrat, but in the Clintonite wing of the party.

Realistically it means we have a shit system with shit choices. Generally leaving us with open fascism or alternatives too accepting or comfortable with it.
Slogans by necessity are simple and lacking nuance. The slogan is fine. Unfortunately we need a wall against fascism. Establishment neoliberal Democrats are a shit wall to be sure. Only slowing Fascism’s creep. Which is still better. But fuck each and every neoliberal who wont stand together in return. One by one leaving them politically powerless and homeless.
