They’re going to be riding soon, once they all realize that the gas prices are never coming back down and this isn’t temporary.

We don’t ride bicycles in Iowa.

I don’t grow or raise any produce in my house. I guess everyone should abandon food and starve.

Whenever I see political speeches with all these sign waving people behind the speaker, I automatically think it’s North Korea style propaganda. It looks entirely staged with the exception of the defensive glass box used to protect against American assassins because apparently Americans are now wanting to get rid of this government. And these politicians clearly know it. They know it so well they create this farce of a show.

Lol I swear it’s like my username is the actual answer to all the world’s problems.

We may not have universal healthcare, or low housing costs, or even affordable groceries, but our strong Orange Man can get himself a ballroom and ban bike lanes.

      RAGBRAI, yes? Awesome!

      https://ragbrai.com/

Since 1973, RAGBRAI, Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa, has been a celebrated tradition, bringing thousands of cyclists and spectators together for an unforgettable journey across the state. As the oldest, largest, and longest multi-day bicycle tour in the world, RAGBRAI is more than a ride. It’s a festival on wheels, a showcase of Iowa’s hospitality, and a driver of local economic and tourism growth. Each year, riders from all 50 states and upwards of 20 countries come to experience the charm of Iowa’s small towns, creating lifelong memories and meaningful connections.

But yah, the politician is clearly not lying, and knows what’s up.

I absolutely loved when it came through my neighborhood in Madison County, they got treated to a full on country church picnic with homemade food and deserts 💜

I know this will shock everyone here: they ride bicycles in Iowa.

Why would Iowans be so worried about the ballroom too?

You’ve got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know… morons.

Because it is built on earth shatteringly large corruption of the President of the common country that influences Iowan lives quite substantially … oh you meant why someone in Iowa should think it is important to construct that monument to corruption? What do I know, watch some Republican ads, maybe they can tell us.

So, you’re saying you don’t want those RAGBRAI dollars. Welp, we’re more than happy to stop spending that money all the way across your state.

Honestly we probably don’t reserve it. I love RAGBRAI (I bike from home to the start every year) and love that we have it, but as the state continues to get redder, dumber, and more hostile to cyclists in general, I’d love to see it move to, say, Minnesota.

It can’t do that; then it would be RAGBRAM instead. It could move to Illinois, though.

Also, as a Georgian I feel like I should mention that BRAG exists.

There is also a Colorado one too, which seems crazy. Ride the Rockies I think it is called.

They are afraid to ride bikes because they’ll quickly be run over or have heart attacks from using their bodies for something besides using their bodies to trample freedom & independence.
