Opting out still seems like they’re pinkie promising they won’t spy on you. There’s no guarantee they’re not using all those sensors on your car to keep tabs on you. The only thing they can’t do is sell your data without getting caught. Are there any guides to install a faraday cage on the telemetry antenna? I miss having dumb cheap vehicles.
It’s as stale as our collective taste for it apparently. We’d have had pro reform politicians elected to power otherwise.

I can kinda see how Mexico is a “hybrid regime.” Its current president won with approximately 60% of the vote. Its federal government is enjoying unprecedented approval from its citizens. OTOH dozens of mayoral candidates have been assassinated by cartels over the past few years.
They should really talk about this when there isn’t a possibly world changing election going on. It’s almost like they’re doing this to get people to waste their vote on a third party. Talk ranked choice voting the day after the election and don’t shut up about it until the government listens.
Instead of trusting DLink with an off the shelf NAS, it might be easier to build your own with a Raspberry Pi running openmediavault hooked up to a couple of USB hard drives. It’s worked well for me for over 6 years now with no issue and could cost way less.
