I hate to say it, but yeah. Look @ France. They fuck shit up whenever the government tries to fuck with them, and have a higher standard of living as a result.
Their economy is on the verge of collapse because of this. They borrowed a lot of money to create that high standard of living and “fuck shit up” means someone has to pay to fix things later which also cost money.
