I have knowledge of Germans getting into trouble with the law because of Whatsapp messages. Be careful out there.

But do you know whether messages weren´t encrypted or whether maybe the phone was seized and unlocked, so the police had “physical” access?

When you are stupid enough to use Meta-shit, you don’t need Chat Control laws and AI analysis for your allegedly encrypted communcation to get leaked for a multitude of purposes…

If you’d read the article you would have come across that Whatsapp f.e. is exempt from scanning.

Today, end-to-end encrypted messaging services such as WhatsApp, Messenger and Signal are exempt from the scanning. This has been a major cause of disagreement between the negotiating parties within the EU.

This assumes that WhatsApp messages are actually end-to-end encrypted, for which we have no proof and only The Zuck’s promise that it is so. And we all know how much his promises for the protection of people’s privacy and data is worth.

They turned that off sometime during the trump regime. You should be able to find an article about it.
