Some places use the same diesel and just inject red die at the nozzle. Or if they are filling bigger tanks add the die then.

Sure, but it’s not like they have much need for diesel right now. The crops have all finished growing, there’s just that “harvest” thing they need to do before winter comes and everything stops. So they’re like 90% done already, right?

if that is true, then the refineries already know this, have reduced the amount of red dye diesel they’ve recently produced based on seasonal demand, which would mean that there’s not that much red dye diesel available, which makes this whole exercise more or less pointless.

I dont understand why they cant just temporarily stop tasking it.

The only reason red diesel exists is so they can detect it later if its used outside its specific usecases. If everyone gets to use it then whatd the point.

Depends on what kind of farming you’re doing. Ranchers need fuel year round. Citrus fruits harvest in the winter, greens, broccoli, cauliflower, brussel, cabbages, root vegetables, and alliums are winter harvest crops in some regions, and potatoes and sweet potatoes are harvested in late-autumn.
