You got everything served to you on a silver platter! My first computer had no storage and only two games on cartridges. If I got bored with Space Invaders and Radar Rat Race, I would type in a program from a German magazine and I didn’t even know German, so sometimes it would be a graphics demo, sometimes a calendar and occasionally a game. I would usually have about an hour left until bedtime when the computer would be turned off and the memory obviously cleared.
All you had to do was to enter “warez” into Alta-Vista.
