    Simple answer no, you could go past it and if it was damaged in the process that really wouldn’t be your fault and they would have to go to civil court to try to deal with it. Walking over it is pretty likely to be taken as property damage and you at the very least get cited out if not taken before a magistrate.

      Probably true but also incredibly unfair. Some people simply get away with ignoring rules and as the person trying to find a creative way to pay retribution you have to worry about legal consequences.

      I’m happy there’s an app to report such things where I live. Never know if anything happens but at least it feels like I have done something.
