I’m really curious as to how Apple will spin this product. Like them or not, I think they can read the room better than other companies, and they’re aware of people getting fed up with ubiquitous cameras. Guess we’ll see (pun intended) in a few months.

I agree. Also, since Apple services keep being (even if only so slightly) worse than their Google/Microsoft counterparts, including ads totally removes their competitive advantage. What’s the point of using a worse product that’s also enshittified?

I’m not a hater, I am writing this from my iPhone on a full Apple ecosystem. But if Apple chooses to follow the Google route then their products will have no appeal to me.

I know it’s all about money, but I don’t get it. I really thought they were smarter than that.
