This is all true.

It varies by instance. The instances that liberals decry as the “Takie Triad” (lemmygrad.ml, lemmy.ml, and hexbear.net) are much better about combatting Islamophobia. They’re much better about combatting Western chauvanism in general, really.

It’s the latest Nolanslop and center of an internet culture war. The broader marketing is a psyop, but I don’t think Lemmy in particular is being targeted by that one.
