Yeah I read all that and he never even shared any unredacted docs.

Yes, if you want to put all your data on your NAS and access it remotely, it can make good sense. I wouldn’t personally do it, but it’s a valid reason to do it.

I mean at least batteries is one of the main areas where improvements will make big improvements. Even when GPU’s double in power, I can barely see the difference in graphics. For my computers, the only thing that seems to matter any more is how much RAM and disk I have free… Batteries are something I never have quote enough of, OTOH.

I stayed on decades old Apple wifi routers until my big upgrade to Wifi 7. I will be here for quite a while.

I can summarize it for you. No wifi 7 routers support true wifi 7 multi link operation. Some support band switching but also in a limited way. Some are better or worse implemented than others.

Oh I know it’s possible, I just don’t want to do it, I have enough troubles in my life ;-)

That makes sense. I have a NAS but I use it more for backups

I guess I have been in enterprise for too long, I thought they meant Session Border Controller. And I was thinking “wow, a Pi can be an SBC?!”

Yeah I tend to wait until I could at least hypothetically use it because you pay a big premium to “future proof”. 10Gbit is still too pricey for me to roll out.

I only did 2.5gbit because that’s the max my WiFi 7 network could handle. I don’t think I will ever max it out in real world usage.

Fair point.

I blocked them >:-}.
I have no patience for people who’s approach to life is to criticize folks who are doing there best to contribute no matter how small when in most cases they are doing nothing positive whatsoever themselves, just bringing poorly researched accusations of others work.
I’m happy to have a debate based on evidence and research, If the best you can bring is to bring others down with zero effort accusations, there is no value of having you around.

Why do you feel you need 10Gbit? I only just upgraded mine to 2.5gbit when I went WiFi 7 and doubt I will even have one endpoint doing that any time in the near future, considering it will max out the wifi router even at that speed. I don’t expect multiple at the same time for many many years.

Or just look at the ROI which is probably only a few years and just buy some.

The current prices of batteries, especially sodium ones are now starting to negate that excuse.

I do feel like I have to prove myself for others in this thread that don’t bother to do even a little research before making accusations and for what? Posting a link? To a YouTube video on a channel I have literally never posted from before? I could understand if it was a channel I had posted a lot of before, then it would be fair to be critical.
And for the record I didn’t take any offense to your statement. It was just the most sane of the criticisms, so the one I decided to continue the thread with. The others I suspect might be brigading me for criticizing .ml in the past or something.

But solar and wind don’t require constantly buying wood pellets to run them. I’d bet there is a break even time that’s not very long for just buying solar instead of running this thing.

There’s a guy in the video who looks pretty real to me, but who knows, fakes are getting pretty good.

I’m a former lemm.ee and world user with years of history you can look back on (double yours for example). I am not affiliated with any brand which is blatantly obvious if you look at my post history.
Just an invitation to a party?
