@Red5 @PanGodofPanic depends a lot on the bike and what the market and legislation is like in a given country. Here in Finland pedal assist bikes are the norm, and I bought a nice bike with a 250W (limit for still being classified as a bike instead of a moped) Bosch motor with a lot of torque for 3k€. In the US the regulations are more lax so there are a lot more options on the market and some of them are really cheap.
