How much does an Apple-branded one cost?
Counterpoint…if you’re so regularly using a dock, you should probably just be using a desktop. And yes, I know a lot of employers assign employees laptops and then tell them to work hybrid and not have an office to give them. (I won’t accept “devices should be stupid because bosses are stupid” lol)
You can still use a dock and have enough ports though. You don’t lose the ability to use a dock just because you have extra ports, lol
For an Apple-branded one?
That’s how much the official Apple docks cost?
I’m glad I can purchase an external dock for an extra few hundred dollars to get the functionality back that existed in older models
That’s like paying at a restaurant by handing the waiter your entire wallet and telling them to take out the cost of the meal.
Isn’t that basically how it works in the US?
People had the same fears about cars, the internet, computers, telephones, the printing press, and even just books and reading/writing.
Not in my area. “Air support” hasn’t been a thing where I play in a while. But it’s not a super dense area where I usually play.
I’m some jurisdictions, public urination can put you on a sex offender registry.
It wouldn’t even matter if you’re trying to be discreet and just have to go but there’s no public washrooms around.
From all the apps invading your privacy and abusing your data, I didn’t suspect Pokemon GO to be one of them.
I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic.
Even if you never played the game, it’s fairly common knowledge that it uses GPS data to place in-game elements and to track where players are.
The game also uses real-world locations as in-game “treasure chests”, which people were theorizing all the way back in 2016 would eventually become open to “sponsored” locations. (Every McDonalds where I am is now a PokeStop)
And if you’ve played the game, you’ve likely seen all the invitations to turn on your camera and submit photos (which are tied to your GPS), move to specific locations, walk (or create) walking routes, take short videos of landmarks, etcetcetc.
I’ve been playing on and off since 2016, and I’ve known I’ve been trading data in exchange for a low-cost game this whole time.
I’m not sure if it’s “most [of the] hardcore players”, or “[the] most hardcore players”.
In the circles I’m around, spoofing is still frowned upon.
Most people don’t “get” poetry.
Did you channel your edgy 15 year old self for that? That’s incredibly arrogant and self absorbed.
Lol, that was what the study implied.
If I’m remembering correctly, one of the reasons that participants of the study rated human-written poetry more poorly was because it was “more difficult to understand”. Conversely, the AI-generated poetry was easier to understand.
And this is coming from someone who doesn’t read poetry, lol
It doesn’t appeal to the masses.
Most people don’t “get” poetry. That’s why you don’t see many people sitting around reading books of poetry.
Many people would probably also choose a short story written by AI over one written by a professional author.
Heck, I’m sure comments written by AI generally get more upvotes than comments written by humans.
Definitely. It’s not even about defending Nintendo.
I hate people who try to profit off of privacy when piracy is available for free.
It reminds me of my university days when people would be selling PDFs of course textbooks…just email a copy of the file!
Hmm…is Reddit selling email addresses, or were they compelled to provide them by law enforcement?
Ah, TIL!
