This is exactly what Ed Zitron is talking about when he says AI psychosis is more widespread than anyone wants to admit. Acting like you made a dumb mistake by not constraining your LLM tool when the dumb mistake was thinking this requires an LLM tool and then writing “lessons learned” is cuckoo bananas behavior.

Seems like a solid case, a lot of the critiques addressed in the video seem based on the most visually separated representation of solarpunk and not the depictions rooted in the hard sciences.


The possible impact first hit me when I saw the genAI policy on the Asahi Linux site: https://asahilinux.org/docs/project/policies/slop/
Tl;dr is that because Asahi is a project running on super custom hardware, there is no way to be sure LLM generated code is not based on proprietary (Apple-owned) code.
