I don’t agree with confiscation, but definitely give tickets when it’s warranted. As someone who has a muscle car that is loud, if you’re doing what you can to be respectful, then people can just be people and live together and not be Karens. If my neighbors went out of their way to make my life miserable, I’d return the favor, and that makes for shitty communities. I’d be on your side if I went out of my way to be an asshole.

The vehicle was seized under section 59 of the Police Reform Act, which was strengthened earlier this year to allow police to immediately confiscate a vehicle causing – or likely to cause – alarm, distress or annoyance to the public. Wow, what constitutes “likely to cause”? Sounds like overreach if I’ve ever heard it. All for taking it if you’re caught breaking the law, but likely to break the law sounds a little too minority report for me.
