“Everybody has this view that they are as pure as the driven snow and it’s the other side that has a problem. I think we both have a problem, folks. If you want to talk about weaponization, take a look at the Biden administration, take a look at the Obama administration,” Tillis said.

“The bottom line is, nobody is clean here, and until we start recognizing this behavior as bad, we’re just going to one-up it. Maybe it’s a little bit more intense in this administration than the last one, and that a little bit more intense the prior administration, and so on and so forth, but folks, we’ve got to end this stuff. We do,” Tillis continued.

“I’m gonna support Mr. Blanche’s nomination, but what I hope I see out of him is a bending of the curve of this absurdity.”

This will be the Dems strategy in 28 as well. They did the same thing with Biden in 2020 who said “Nothing would fundamentally change…” if elected. Hate wins elections in this country and if you can keep both sides hating each other and win over a few million people every 4 years to your side to hate the other side more, you’re the winner.

It’s not like that was a far fetched idea for the Dems for her to message that way and expect it to win, though. I remember Joe Biden saying “Nothing will fundamentally change…” when he ran in 2020 and he managed to get enough people who hate Trump more than they hated a shitty messaging strategy to turn up and hand them the reigns of power only to spectacularly fall on their faces yet again.

I would wager they do the same in 28, provided there is another election, and sadly the American people will eat it up only to elect another milquetoast candidate who will be ousted in 4 years but an authoritarian worse than Trump.
