Look at what russians are whining about lately, how their business is affected by the wild berries attacks, how they have to queue for days for fuel, but never about innocent Ukrainians dying or even their own people, who are usually from the extremities of russia and don’t even register as real people to them.

They have the same empathy towards human lives that aren’t their own as Nazis did about untermensch.

That might be part of it, but they’re one of the largest debtors in russia, with billions owes to banks.

Their bankruptcy will cause a cascading effect with banks failing. Classic case of “if I owe the bank a thousand dollars, that’s my problem, if I owe them a million, that’s their problem”. There are already signs that russian banks are facing insolvency issues.
