Yes that’s a very good point. I played with python’s CSV module recently to make some graphs with numpy and it seems pretty good. I’ll check out visidata - at the moment I’m experimenting with the idea that there is always a better option than using excel style spreadsheets. I’m seeing how much I can achieve while never opening excel/calc/gnumeric

Very cool thanks for sharing. I don’t have a CSV viewer app in “Open with…” context menu because I don’t have a file manager…

Last time I had to deal with a large CSV file I think I just used some combination of sort, wc, cut and grep. Or I import it to python and use numpy
