Yup, it sucks that my fellow countrymen don’t see the benefits of EVs. Sometimes trying to convince them of it is like trying to pull a rotten tusk out of a grumpy walrus.
As for myself, I currently have a mid-sized sedan, but the next vehicle purchase will be PHEV or full EV, depending on when it needs to be made. As it is, I’m going to get a bike for my work commute in the warmer months. At least I can mitigate some of the damage about six months of the year.
As mentioned in the article, the energy storage systems should be paired up with this solar panel expansion as well, in order to help deal with potential curtailment issues. Why not create an incentive for both commercial and at-home battery storage? Still, this is amazing news.

No doubt! Even though I live in an area which has snow six months of the year, I’m planning on getting myself a bicycle to get around for basic things like going to work or smaller shopping trips. The less I can use the car, the better.
