I run Linux at a workplace that is mostly Windows and some Mac.

Nobody notices or cares.

Everything I need runs in a browser now.

But why does everyone bring up AutoCAD? Lemmy seems to be full of AutoCAD professionals.

I sling code and documents. Linux is better for code and uses Office 365 as well as any other OS.

I stopped telling colleagues to “invest at least 10%” and “at least get the 401k match, it’s free money” about three years ago.

After this bubble bursts, I’m honestly not even sure the concept of 401ks will survive.

The future of common people’s investing is very possibly only in gold chains and under mattresses.

Some of them will lose, and some “investors” will go dead broke.

It’s never everyone one would wish it could be, of course.

The web didn’t go away when the web hype bubble burst. But it changed a great deal, and a bunch of suckers got to be very broke.

This bubble is much bigger, and will hurt much worse when it goes.

Meta just took a 11% stock price drop for saying “we still think AI is a good idea”. This bubble is right on the precipice.

Maybe it can stay irrational for a bit longer, but it doesn’t look good at all.
