This is a form of conflict simulation that leans into the historical context and they’ve always dealt with uncomfortable topics, like Castro’s terror campaign in Cuba or the war in Afghanistan.

I’ve played several of these COIN (COunter INsurgency) games and they’re obviously supposed to be entertainment, but they’re also incredibly thoroughly researched, deeply thought provoking and challenging and serve to give a context for some of the history in a way no other medium can.

What I’m getting at is that these games aren’t like “roll a 6 to murder a civilian” they’re designed to inform and educate their audience as much as entertain them with difficult decisions.

Yeah, that’s still 50k who can’t reliably stream and those tend to be already the most isolated and often vulnerable people already, I see a lot of them trying to maintain their existing connections and 8 years will make a good bit of difference but there will be people who sadly slip through the cracks but I guess that’s always the way with progress.

I use a van for work and have to park it at home as part of my contract, why should I have to pay higher rates for that, or pay for parking somewhere a distance away from my home?

Parking provision (and lack thereof) is the fault of the builder/developer/local authority, not the people who need to use that parking.

Sounds like you’ve got a local parking issue that needs to be addressed, not collectively punishing every tradesperson.

What’s wrong with a van? They have barely any increased footprint over a standard car (unless it’s a long wheel-base) and at least they’re practical for those that need it for work. Pickups are bad vehicles to drive, bad vehicles for any form of work (outside of a few very specific things), bad for the environment, bad for pedestrians (especially children) because of the decreased visibility at the front, and bad for other road users because of how much extra space they take up.

I wonder what they learnt by hacking Truss, other than irrefutable evidence that Truss is a moron.
