Management never has a clue what their employees actually do day-to-day. We’re just another black box to them, tracked on a spreadsheet by accounting. Stuff goes in, stuff comes out, you can’t explain that.

Towards democracy, or towards AI? I feel like this is bait and switch.

I think most people in the 90s could easily see that something would replace CDs, because CDs replaced tape and vinyl in their lifetimes. Also, CDs have not disappeared, and neither has tape, or vinyl. Or, live music, for that matter, or buggy whips.

While most people don’t use a PC, plenty do, and they use them for things that are either impossible or extremely inconvenient to do on a phone or tablet. Professional design of practically anything does not happen on a six-inch screen, for instance.

Tourists should stay away. I hope tourism continues to decline this year, and drops to zero.

I’m a Democratic Socialist, and have never voted for a Republican in my life. I’m as stuck with this BS as are the Britons who didn’t vote for Brexit. I laughed at the Brits while Trump was in his first term saying, “At least our fuck-up will be gone in four years.”
