Tbh, I didn’t even realize I was doing victim blaming. I just thought that was common sense. Life is unfair and bureaucracy is cold and not flexible. You just got to have your ducks in a row and papers in order, in time. And when I say “in time” I mean like 2 years before the absolute last chance. If you are not 10 steps in front of things, this shit happens.
I know because I’ve experienced it myself and every time it was my fault for doing things withing the allowed time but not early.

Really depends on where you are. I mean, we have actual trucks, not pick up trucks, but like those box trucks that deliver goods to shops and such. They drive around in cities no problem. Of course, some early medieval town in Germany or Italy is a different thing, but those are more a exception than the rule. You got to remember, Europe was bombed quite badly during the war and then in the 1970s there was a big obsession about building infrastructure for cars. That has been slowly reversed back to more pedestrian friendly cities, but still, they are not built in a way that prevents larger vehicles to use the streets.
The main reason for the lack of american style pick up trucks here is tax and fuel costs. People who need a pick up truck would rather drive around in a 2.4 diesel Toyota Hilux, than a 28 litre V8 motor Dodge RAM. Most of the people driving with Yank Trucks are people who fantasize about being a good ol’ boy from Texas, while not having traveled more than 25 kilometers outside of their home town of Kauhajoki.

Yeah, like I said, I know theres been issues with that stuff.
But thats why starting the process in 2021 September was like 5 years too late lol. Should have started it when the campaign for the vote was going on, at the latest on the day the results came in.

I get that there has been issues with bureaucracy and delays and whatnot… but they really should have started the citizenship process right when the right honourable, friend of the pigs, Mr. Cameron announced they would have the vote.
If a gang gathers at my yard and they tell me they will vote if they will set my house on fire or not, I start dialing the fire department then, not when they start whittling the kindling.
Obviously things are going so well that the patriotic blind and insane people want to take part in the great success!
