Missouri voters overwhelmingly rejected a ballot measure that would have launched the state down a five-year path to eliminate its personal income tax and expand its ability to impose sales levies on new goods and services.

The measure, known as Amendment 5, sunk by a 83% to 17% vote, according to preliminary results posted by state election officials.

    Now in the grand tradition of Missouri, I’m looking forward to the Republican state legislature to pass this via a bill as is tradition just like when Right to Work was voted down.

    Yup, nothing like thwarting the will of the people and the people continuing to vote in malignant idiots into office that run on thwarting the will of the people.
